Oceanship-Hotblack

Oceanship is the duo of Brad Lyons & Carly Paradis. In 2005 they released there first S/T EP, & in 2009 they completed there debut full length which is out now. So a few weeks ago I got an email from Carly asking about a song that I played on Mood2SwinG. Turn's out she's a Mew fan. Awesome! A few emails later she mentions that she's in this band called Oceanship & I should check there video out. A couple of youtube views later & I was hooked! It kind of reminded me a bit of Rachael Yamagata's "Collide" tune. Maybe it's the wonderful piano melody that seems to push the song forward & give it a bit of that head nod appeal. Or maybe it's Brad's vocals culminating with it's a MAD WORLD that bring's you to attention. Either way it's a champion tune alongside a standout video.
