Noise Pop & Sasquatch

I tend to try and avoid large crowds of people. Thus I usually dislike large music festivals which has resulted in only 1 visit to Coachella & a few sporatic visits to various similar festivals. No matter how big the name I usually just say forget it.

That being said, there has always been a few that have been on my radar. Seattle's Sasquatch festival & San Francisco's Noise Pop, the latter being what sparked this entry.

I love how the Noise Pop is scheduled at different bar's & venues (not that I'm a big drinker)& includes art & film. Not to mention roaming around S.F. is always fun. This years line up includes the Bay area's own J.V.(john vanderslice), Wallpaper, Atlas Sound, Roguewave, & K record's favorite Mirah. I'm going this year. I just made the decision. Steve is going.

Seattle's Sasquatch festival is on a whole different level. For starters the stages are set up in front of a gorge! Unlike the Coachella valley in the middle of April, Seattle is beautiful that time of year. (May)
Coachella = sweaty douche bags & $10 water.

Similar to Coachella the line up is eye popping. Doves, Animal Collective, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Calexico, M83, TV On The Radio, Of Montreal, Janes Addiction, Deerhoof, Grizzly Bear & Black Moth Super Rainbow & on & on.

I'm going to both this year I swear!

-Of course there is tons of others worth mentioning, these are just a couple within road trip distance of LA.
