So going through my usual stacks of new releases before Friday & I'm happy to report I found a winner! First full length effort from Toronto based Ghost Is Dancing by way of Sonic Unyon. About half way through the 12 track release "Battles On" & I'm cozy content with this one. Just like after finishing a great book on a chilly winter day. They have drawn comparisons to Arcade Fire & Modest Mouse but I really don't see it to much but hey what do I know? I know the Bulls are 6-4 and I'm happy with the same haircut I've been getting since the 5th grade. Anyhow, not my favorite track off the album but have a listen. Somewhere in there lies the DIY energy that I love from pop/rock records.
